13.2.5 Hamilton-Norwood scale: Type 4
- Type 4 shows the continued recession of the frontal and temple areas of the hairline, as well as the continued thinning of the crown area. The mid-frontal area of hair between the two temples is also continuing to thin, and the crown area of the scalp is more apparent. The hairs in the thinning areas are losing their pigment making the hair loss look more obvious.
